Re the new report, just wondering about the rationale of
A. giving away the personally branded report to current prospects/mailing lists as opposed to
B. sending them to the Squeeze page to download for themselves and entering into the “system”
I fancy seeding copies of the publication widely and letting the book do the work.

That’s an option you’re free to use if you prefer. It makes it harder to follow-up with the autoresponder messages that enlarge on the content of the report and focus on individual resources, but it’s entirely up to you.

Hi John – working through this in my mind. Feel its an option I would use with people already in my auto-responder system. Already past the opening stage and looking at the business opportunity. Another auto-responder series – probably not a great idea.
But certainly flexibility and options.

You have both options already built-into the system: two separate landing pages…
1. An opt-in page for people not already on your list.
2. A personalised landing page for people on your list that lets them download without signing up.
There are two download pages as well…
1. A personalised page (for people who were already on your list — and for those who opt in and are now on your list)
2. A generic page you can send individuals of your choosing to.
The script for handling all this is included in the package. No special installation required.
Flexibility is the keyword here.

Hi John Thanks for the explanation. I guess its necessary for me to have the system to understand its options and nuances. To plan for its best deployment and any tweeks to fit into my system.
The two options sound great and seem to fit into my intentions, which in part is to offer the publication as a value adding gift to people I am already working with. Of course the people I have not encountered yet are totally different.

And what their web pages will look like… there’s an old adage in retail advertising that “the more you tell, the more you sell”.
I prefer, wherever possible, to provide both options: snapshots for the attention-deficient and expanded info for those who require more detail. The web is the perfect medium for this.
That’s also the idea behind the collapsed/hidden info for all the free resources on the Resources page. (Did you miss that?)
