Well..I'll be the first to jump in Grin

First thing..are we going to get the latest report soon?

Second..If I had anything I would like to see different,it would be that the report be a little shorter..maybe 30 pages

I don't know if the newbie just jumping into mlm will "get it", it might be over their head.
Just some thoughts

Hi Tom,

Any ideas as to which 66 pages you'd cut out?

There are two reasons for the length:

1. The "Thud" factor: most people (especially in the USA for some reason) think that "more is better". Unless the report hits their desktop with a loud "THUD!", they think it lacks substance and value. In other words, the thickness and weight are better indicators of quality than the actual content itself.

Kind of like bank managers and loan officers who expect a business plan to have at least 100 pages — which are never read (except for the Executive Summary and financial statements).

2. Different people are looking for different things. Most are evaluating a particular MLM opportunity and want to know about compensation plans or products. Other want to know about companies, pyramid selling, etc. Most won't read the whole thing. And, since they pay nothing for it, there's no issue about value and relevance for the money.

As long as they get the info they want, and there's plenty more info to underscore the credibility and perceived value, there's no point reducing the size of the report, or breaking it up into 6-8 smaller reports.

That make sense?

John

PS: The latest version is online now.

Hey John,
I see your point...my thinking was, most peoples attention span is about as long as a Nats ass  Tongue

So people might not get the most out of a 96 page report, but I can see what your saying...people can pick and choose what THEY want out of the doc and keep the rest as sort of a referance for a later date.

Hi John
Looking now that I'm working with the Special Report landing page - I would like to comment, that although the report itself contains some powerful explanations of the economic realities of relying on a JOB and reasons why one need to seriously consider Network Marketing (and I consider this to be a powerful prospecting component of the report) I do not feel this aspect is reflected in the "Landing Page"  which seems to pre-suppose the reader has already decided to consider a home business.

This has lead me to make a change to the landing page to better reflect this element of the repoprt.

Eric,

1. The landing page DOES pre-suppose that the visitor has already decided to look at a home-based business, for a very good reason: The Report targets prospects who are at Stage 5 of the Qualifying Funnel, NOT at Stage 1, 2, 3 or 4.

2. The whole point of the Insight Report is to "tilt the seesaw" in favour of network marketing for prospects who are already qualified as being...
  • interested in earning extra income, including
  • both reciprocal and residual income through
  • a home-based business that’s
  • safer, easier, better and smarter than other types of home-based business, and
  • delivers high leverage
  • possibly from network marketing.

It is NOT intended to qualify them as needing or wanting extra income. That has already been done.

3. You're trying to make the landing page do more than it's intended to do, which simply confuses your target audience.

4. This defeats the whole purpose of a segmented audience approach. It diffuses your efforts by trying to be all things to all people — the #1 reason why most prospecting fails.

5. Components for the preceding four Stages of the Qualifying Funnel will be released over the next couple of months, starting in July.

6. Altering the landing page in this way breaches copyright and the terms of your license.

If you recall, the REAL target audience (short-term) of this funded proposal project is NOT prospects for your MLM opportunity, although they're certainly part of the picture. It's other network marketers who are looking for a system to help them find, attract, educate, qualify, bond and sponsor new downline members!

It's a funded proposal project, remember? To help YOU earn some extra income and potential recruits?

Hope this helps to clarify the situation.

Tom,

Just to re-iterate: the size of the Report has an important EMOTIONAL purpose.

It creates a kind of security blanket for the prospect by the sheer volume of information.

For people who feel that "more is better" (that is, "quantity = quality" *d'oh!*), it's not necessary to read everything. It's enough to know that the answers are there if they need them.

Hi John
I accept what you say - in the full scheme of things. But that does not apply until more of the system is released.  I'm a believer in (and applying)  Theodore Roosevelt quote “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”

This does require some improvisation and adaption in the short term.

Hi all

Yes I think we just need to get it out there and test it with the market.  the system overall has to be proven.  I assume any day now we will start get our systems live and going?

Keep at it John

Would you have expected me to say something in 2010, John?

I think that report is as concise as it can be. It uses an optimal amount of pages, uses these pages very efficiently, teaches the reader and helps them understanding why reading this report is a time and money saving exercise. I come from a different perspective here and find the report even induces the much needed element of trust. People before business.

Even though I took down my website just over a year ago and not being busy in the MLM or NM arena, I couldn't resist to look at the report. It's really good, not only for network marketers.

Good luck to all of you and my best regards
Frank

P.S. : I need to change my signature here but, am unable to do so. Can someone explain to me how I can change my signature for my posts in this forum?

Did you know that...
"To win, make it a win-win, or even win-win-win deal for all involved" -  Not easy in the world of the Internet and Network Marketing. But here is a group of people who help you do just that.

Hi Frank Cheesy

Great to hear from you, my friend -- and thanks for the kind thoughts.

To change your sig file, click on your PROFILE button (below header), then select "Edit profile information" from the menu (left) on the following page. Then edit your signature file (scroll down the page).

Once you're finished, click on "Change profile". All done!
